AudibounceEmail dev@n8er.app. Include your macOS version, your Audibounce version (Settings) and your Audiobookshelf server version.
Getting started
- Click the headphones icon in the menu bar.
- Enter your server's address, for example
abs.example.comor192.168.1.10:13378. - Sign in with your username and password, an API key (Audiobookshelf → Settings → API Keys), or single sign-on if your server offers it.
No server yet? Click No server? Try the demo library on the sign-in screen to explore five public-domain audiobooks. Leave it from Settings.
Common questions
Where is the app?
In the menu bar, as a headphones icon. It appears in the Dock only while its Library or Settings window is open.
How do I add the desktop widget?
Right-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, find Audibounce, and pick small, medium or large.
Single sign-on says the redirect isn't allowed
In Audiobookshelf, go to Settings → Authentication and make sure audiobookshelf://oauth is in the allowed mobile redirect URIs. It's there by default.
Does my progress sync?
Yes. Your position is saved to your server as you listen, when you pause and when you quit. Progress made offline is sent when you're back online, and it never overwrites newer progress from another device.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. In the Library window, right-click a book and choose Download.
Where are my e-books and podcasts?
Audibounce plays audiobooks only, so e-books and podcasts on your server aren't shown.
Can I see progress in the menu bar?
Open Settings, then under Menu Bar choose a Progress ring for the current chapter or the whole book, and optionally show the time left.
Is Audibounce part of Audiobookshelf?
No. It's an independent app that works with Audiobookshelf servers.
